Sangolli Rayanna and Kittur Chennamma fought to drive the British out of the nation. Krantiveera Sangollirayanna station is the name given to the Bangalore railway station in honour of him. The film 'Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna' was released in 1967. The black-and-white movie was a big hit in Karnataka. Asha Bhonsle, Usha Mangeshkar, and Mannade sang the remaining songs in the movie, with Lata Mangeshkar contributing two vocals. Laxman Berlekar composed the music. Every song has a great melody. Lata Mangeshkar has sung this song.

This lovely song is in Uttara Karnataka's Kannada accent. Lata Mangeshkar's ambiguous accent makes it a little difficult to understand. After paying close attention, I wrote and posted it here. I apologise if the lyrics include any errors.

ಸಂಗೊಳ್ಳಿ ರಾಯಣ್ಣ ಕಿತ್ತೂರು ಚೆನ್ನಮ್ಮನ ಜೊತೆಗೂಡಿ ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಬ್ರಿಟಿಷರನ್ನು ಹೊರಗೋಡಿಸಲು ಹೋರಾಡಿದ ವೀರ. ಈತನ ನೆನಪಿಗಾಗಿಯೇ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ರೈಲ್ವೆ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣವನ್ನು ಕ್ರಾಂತಿವೀರ ಸಂಗೊಳ್ಳಿರಾಯಣ್ಣ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣ ಎಂದು ಹೆಸರಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಇತ್ತೀಚಿಗೆ ಈತನ ಕ್ರಾಂತಿಯಬಗ್ಗೆ ಒಂದು ಚಿತ್ರವೂ ಬಂದಿತ್ತು. ಆದರೆ ಇದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮೊದಲೇ ೧೯೬೭ರಲ್ಲಿ "ಕ್ರಾಂತಿವೀರ ಸಂಗೊಳ್ಳಿ ರಾಯಣ್ಣ" ಎಂಬ ಒಂದು ಚಿತ್ರ ಬಂದಿತ್ತು. ಉತ್ತರಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಭಾಷೆಯ ಸೊಗಡಿನ ಆ ಚಿತ್ರ ಕಪ್ಪು ಬಿಳುಪಿನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದು ಜನಪ್ರಿಯವಾಯಿತು. ಈ ಚಿತ್ರದ ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ಹೆಗ್ಗಳಿಕೆಯೆಂದರೆ ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಲತಾಮಂಗೇಶ್ಕರ್ ಅವರು ಎರಡು ಹಾಡನ್ನು ಹಾಡಿದ್ದುದು, ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಆಶಾ ಭೊಂಸ್ಗೆ , ಉಷಾ ಮಂಗೇಶ್ಕರ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಮನ್ನಾಡೆ ಅವರು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಹಾಡುಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣ್ ಬೆರಲೇಕರ್ ಎಂಬುವವರು ಸಂಗೀತ ನಿರ್ದೇಶನವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರು. ಹಾಡುಗಳೆಲ್ಲವೂ ಬಹಳ ಇಂಪಾಗಿ ಮನಸೆಳೆದಿದ್ದವು. "ಎಲ್ಲಾರು ಇರತೀರೋ" ಎಂಬ ಹಾಡನ್ನು ಲತಾ ಮಂಗೇಶ್ಕರ್ ಅವರು ಬಹಳ ಮಧುರವಾಗಿ ಹಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.  ಉತ್ತರಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಸೊಗಡಿನ ಈ ಹಾಡನ್ನು ಅರ್ಥ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಕಷ್ಟ, ಅದರಲ್ಲೂ ಲತಾ ಮಂಗೇಶ್ಕರ್ ಅವರ ಅಸ್ಪಷ್ಟ ಉಚ್ಚಾರಣೆ ಇನ್ನೂ ಕಠಿಣವಾಗಿಸಿದೆ. ಹಾಡನ್ನು ನಿಧಾನವಾಗಿ ಕೇಳಿ ನಾನೇ ಬರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ತಪ್ಪುಗಳಿದ್ದರೆ ಕ್ಷಮೆಯಿರಲಿ. 

ಸಂಗೊಳ್ಳಿ ರಾಯಣ್ಣ ಬ್ರಿಟಿಷರ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಕ್ರಾಂತಿ ಮಾಡಿ ಹೋರಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದುದರಿಂದ ಅವರ ಕಣ್ಮರೆಸಿ ಜೀವನ ಸಾಗಿಸಬೇಕಿತ್ತು. ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ಮನೆಗೆ ಬರುವುದು, ಹೆಂಡತಿಯ ಒಡನಾಟ ಎಲ್ಲವೂ ಅಪರೂಪ. ಚಾತಕ ಪಕ್ಷಿಯಂತೆ ಗಂಡನಿಗಾಗಿ ಕಾಯುತ್ತಾ, ಆತನಿಗೆ ಏನೂ ಆಗದಿರಲಿ ಎಂದು ಬೇಡುತ್ತ ಜೀವನ ಸಾಗಿಸುವ ಅಮಾಯಕ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯ ಮನದಾಳದ ಅನಿಸಿಕೆಗಳು ಹಾಡಿನ ರೂಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊರಹೊಮ್ಮಿದೆ. ಅವಳ ಮನಸ್ಥಿತಿಯನ್ನು ನೆನೆಸಿಕೊಂಡರೆ ಒಂದು ರೀತಿಯ ಖೇದ ಉಂಟಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಕಲಾವತಿ ರಾಗದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಈ ಮಧುರವಾದ ಹಾಡು, ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ, ಓದಿ ಅನುಭವಿಸಿ. 

ಹಾಡಿನ ಸಾರಾಂಶ ಹೀಗಿದೆ :- 

ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುತ್ತೀರೋ, ಯಾವಾಗ ಬರುತ್ತಿರೋ, ಜೀವಗೆಳತಿಯಾದ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹೀಗೇಕೆ ಮರೆತುಬಿಡುತ್ತೀರಿ? 

ಕುರಿಹಿಂಡು ಮೇಯ್ದನಂತರ ಮೇಲೆ ತಾವಾಗಿಯೇ ಮನೆಗೆ ಬಂದುಬಿಡುತ್ತದೆ, ಹಕ್ಕಿಗಳು ಸಂಜೆಯಾದೊಡನೆ ಗೂಡಿಗೆ ಮರಳಿ ಬಂದುಬಿಡುತ್ತವೆ, ಯಾವತ್ತೂ ತಮ್ಮ ವಾಸಸ್ಥಾನವನ್ನು ಮರೆಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ನೀವೇಕೆ ಹೀಗೆ?

ಕಾಡಿನ ಒಳಗೆ ಹುಲಿರಾಯನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟರೆ ಇನ್ಯಾರು ಸಾಹಸಿಗಳು ಇಲ್ಲ, ಹಾಗೆಯೆ ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯ ಗಂಡ, ನಾಡಿನ ಒಳಗೆಲ್ಲ ಧೀರ, ಶೂರ. ಆದರೂ ನಾಡನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟುವ ಭರದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನಗಾಗಿ ಪರಿತಪಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಮರೆತು ಬಿಟ್ಟರೆ ಹೇಗೆ? 

ನಿಮಗಾಗಿ ಆತುರದಿಂದ ಓಡಿಬಂದು, ಎದೆಯ ಬೇಗುದಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಬೇಸರಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ಆದರೂ ಕಾತುರದಿಂದ ಕಾಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ಎಂದು ಬರುತ್ತೀರಿ ? ಹೀಗೆ ಮರೆತರೆ ಹೇಗೆ? ಬೇಗ ಬನ್ನಿ ಬೇಗ ಬನ್ನಿ.
